ICC has made some changing in current edition of World Cup 2019 as the numbers of emerging teams are reduced to 10 from 14. Top 8 teams of ICC ODI rankings have directly qualified for the main rounds of this event including the host nation England whereas two teams will be spotted by ICC World Cup Qualifiers 2018.
The 8 teams who have directly qualified for the main rounds of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 include the defending champions Australia along with Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, South Africa, New Zealand, Bangladesh and the host nation England. The other two teams are West Indies and Afghanistan who have qualified from ICC World Cup qualifiers.

ICC has come with lots of changing in the format of upcoming Cricket World Cup 2019 as this time all emerging teams will be placed in a single group instead of divided into different groups and each team will appear against all other group-mates whereas top 4 teams will qualify for the semi-finals of this event.
For current edition of Cricket World Cup 2019 ICC has adopt the group format used earlier in World Cup 1992 and this format is known as Round Robin Format. Under this format all 10 teams are placed in a single group and scheduled to play 9 matches with all other teams of the event. In recently editions, ICC has faced several problems and difficulties during management of matches but this time it is going to be simple and clear.
Each team will appear in 9 matches and top 4 teams will maximum victories will appear in the Semi-Finals of World Cup 2019. In case teams have same victory figures then qualification will be done of the base of Net Run Rate.
