Finally the official schedule and fixtures of Italian Serie A have been announced and the opening weekend will be kick off on 18-19 August 2018 and the season will continue till the last weekend of 26th May 2019. The 2018-19 season of Italian Serie A will be started on the weekend of 18-19 August and runs till the weekend of 18-19 May 2019. Recently, the management of Italian FA has also announced some changes on the weekend fixtures as matches will be re-scheduled across Friday to Monday. As per new fixtures there will be maximum 3 matches on Sunday at 15: CET While matches on Saturday will get start on 12:30 CET instead of Sunday.

In last season of 2017-18, the Italian Serie A started 1 week before the schedule which was due to the World Cup taking place that summer and the management of Italia FA decided to end the season earlier to provide enough time to Italian National football team for their preparations for the mega football event. After that there are no international events scheduled in 2019 and the Serie A will take place on its usual dates of 3rd weekend of August 2018 and ends on 19th May 2019.
