Just In! Good news coming in for all Pakistan Cricket fans as Pakistan is going to host Asia Cup 2020. As per sources the Asian Cricket Council has made this decision to award the hosting rights of Asia Cup 2020 to Pakistan. This decision was made earlier this morning in a meeting held by Asian Cricket Council.
Pakistan after long time is going to host mega cricket event Asian Cup 2020. Moreover, Asian Cricket Council has also decided to introduce Cricket in Asian Games 2022 scheduled to held in China. Pakistan after terrorist attack on Sri Lanka cricket team has faced long cricket isolation as all International Cricket teams have continuously refused to visit Pakistan after that incident.
Now things are changed for Pakistan and majority of cricket team including Australia and New Zealand are hoping to visit Pakistan by 2021. Pakistan Super League has also played important role in bringing back cricket to Pakistan and it is expected that the upcoming edition of PSL is going to be host by Pakistan instead of UAE and Sharjah.
Few years back some international cricket teams including Afghanistan and Zimbabwe has also visited Pakistan and played ODI and T20 series. World XI Cricket team has also toured back 2 years ago and engaged in 3 T20 matches against Pakistan Cricket Team.
Pakistan is considered as Cricket Hub in Asia as this country has not only produced number of cricketing legends back in history but all the people of Pakistan loves cricket more than anything. During PSL World has witnessed that how Pakistan Welcomed International Cricket Players on their home land.
Pakistan has successful hosted Semi-Finals and Finals of PSL 2019 and majority of international cricket players looked satisfied with security precautions taken by Pakistan Government to welcome cricket. After considering all these conditions Asian Cricket Council has made this big decision and awarded Pakistan the hosting of Asia Cup 2020.
Total 5 Asian Cricket teams including Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan will appear in Asia Cup 2020 whereas Pakistan and India will host all the matches of this event. ICC Men’s T20 World Cup will kick off right after Asia Cup 2020.
