Just In! The 14th group stage of Cricket World Cup 2019 is currently underway in London between India vs Australia. After winning the toss Indian skipper V Kohli elected to bat 1st and the former champions succeed to score one of their highest World Cup totals 352 runs against defending champions.
Indian batting line-up from the start remained dominant over their opposition bowling attack as both Indian openers R Sharma and S Dhawan played outstandingly and provided 127 runs opening partnership to their team.
India lost their 1st wicket in 22nd over and Sharma was the 1st man who departed from field while scored 57 runs. India after losing 1st wicket once again re-gained their original path as skipper V Kohli and S Dhawan took the command of their side.
S Dhawan and V Kohli provided 93 runs partnership to their team and took their total to 220 runs in 36th over of the match. Dhawan after scoring 117 runs on 109 was targeted by Starc and he returned to pavilion but succeed to set strong total foundations for his side.
H Pandya was the next man in for India and as usual Pandya opened up his blade from the very 1st bowl and scored rapid 48 runs on just 27 deliveries. Pandya not only provided some quick runs in middle over but also increase the run rate of his side in this crucial match.
India lost their 4th wicket in 45th over but damage was already done by Pandya who hit 4 boundaries and 3 sixes in depth over. MS Dhoni replaced Pandaya and joined Kohli on field but at the total of 338 runs Dhoni after scoring 27 runs bowled out and Stoinis took his wicket.
V Kohli after playing brilliant innings of 82 runs while face just 77 balls bowled out in last over. India at the end of their 1st innings scored World Cup 2019 2nd highest total 352 runs while lost their 5 wickets. S Dhawan with 117 runs remained the highest run scorer for India.
