F1 has now become billion-dollar sport that’s what majority of F1 fans thinks. No doubt that’s true but to some extent. If you are champion in F1 it doesn’t mean that you are earning massive money instead the best drivers of the World are supposed to earn extremely high wages and that’s the reason Lewis Hamilton has become the highest paid F1 driver with around $57 million earnings a year.

Back in 2017, Sebastain Vettel ruled the F1 as highest paid driver after making his record 3 year contract with Ferrari for around $150 million. Lewis Hamilton has also inked his 3 year contract with Mercedes that costs around $31 million per year including salary and $10 million in performance based bonuses. After this contract Hamilton had become the 2nd highest paid driver in F1.
Well Hamilton’s old times competitor, Sebastain Vettel is dropped down on 2nd place on this list. As per reports Sebastain Vettel is getting around $45 million in 2019 season while this amount is more than double than his teammate Charles Leclerc. Sebastain Vettel has claimed the title of F1 Champion for the 4 times in this history.
Daniel Ricciardo with $17 million earnings in 2019 season looks in extreme chase as he is placed on 3rd place on this list. The slight increase in the earnings of Daniel happened after he moved to Renault this year from Red Bull team. Although the annual wages of Ricciardo are half to the wages earned by Vettel but still he is making around 1 million dollar from each race.
Max Verstappen will $13 million annual earnings is considered as 4th highest paid driver in F1 but to be very honest Max is outclassed by his old Red Bull teammate Daniel Ricciardo. As it’s almost $4 million difference between the earnings of both these drivers.
Lewis Hamilton teammate Valtteri Bottas is also enjoying healthy income from his Mercedes team as he is making around $8,500,000 per year will drive for Mercedes. It would be funny if this young charger outclass Hamilton in upcoming F1 event.
Kimi Raikonnen is dropped down to 6th place on the list of highest paid F1 driver after he re-joins Sauber and says bye to Ferrari team. Kimi in start made his 1 year contract with Ferrari but extend that deal for 3 years and his official contract with Ferrari ended in 2018. The annual earnings of Kimi after joining Sauber drops down to 4,500,000 from $7 million.
Haas Team dominating driver Kevin Magussen is making around $1200,000 as he recently few years this F1 driver succeed to retains his position on this list whereas Lance Stroll from Racing Point Team is getting $1,200,000 per year.
Pierre Gasly after moving from Toro Rosso from Red Bull also entitled to massive annual earnings as he is making $1400,000 per year from this team. Romain Grosjean from Haas is expected to earn around $1,800,000 in 2019 season from his all races.
