Pakistan has faced England in 2nd ODI match of their ongoing series on 11th May 2019 at Southampton. After toss, England elected to bat 1st and both English openers JJ Roy and JM Bairstow came out to open up innings for their team.
Both English team openers JJ Roy and JM Bairstow has played really outstandingly and provided 115 runs opening partnership to their team. England lost their 1st wicket in 18th over and JM Bairstow departed from field while scored 51 runs.
JE Root was the new man in for England and he joined JJ Roy on field. Both these batsmen once again constructed brilliant innings with their bats and took their team total to 177 runs in 30th over of the match.
JJ Roy after playing brilliant innings of 87 runs bowled out by Hasan Ali and Imad Wasim took his catch. At the score of 211 runs England lost their 3rd wicket and this time JE Root was targeted by Yasir Shah whereas Haris Sohail took his catch.
After losing two wickets in quick sessions, the English skipper Eoin Morgan alongside JC Buttler took their command of team and scored 172 runs partnership. Both these batsmen played brilliant shots all around the ground and no Pakistan bowler was able to stop flow of runs from their bat.
