England faced Pakistan in 2nd ODI match of their ongoing series on 11th May 2019 at Southampton and after winning the toss, the guest side Pakistan invited England to bat 1st. England cricket team played really well in their 1st innings.
England scored 373 runs in their 50 over while lost their 3 wickets. Both English openers JJ Roy and JM Bairstow provided 115 runs opening partnership to their team. JJ Roy after playing brilliant innings of 87 runs bowled out by Hasan Ali.
In middle over England struggled after losing two wickets in quick session but after the arrival of Eoin Morgan and JC Buttler, England once again tighten their grip strongly around Pakistan bowling attack and both these batsmen remain dominant till the end of their innings.
JC Buttler has scored 110 runs on just 55 runs whereas EJG Morgan with 71 runs not out provided strong hand to his partner. Pakistan pace as well as spin bowlers completely failed in front of strong English batting line-up and no bowler was able to end up his spell with impressive figures.
Pakistan in return, started off really well as both openers of this team Imam and Fakhar provided 92 runs opening stand to their team while chasing down the target of 373 runs. Imam after playing superb innings of 35 runs got out and Moeen Ali took his wicket.
Baber Azam was the new man in for Pakistan and joined Fakhar on pitch. Both these batsmen played outstandingly and took their team total to 204 runs in 30th over of the match. Zaman with 122 and Baber with 42 runs remained not out.
